Updated Time-Table (as on 23rd January 2015)

Dear S104,

Apologies for the change in Time-table.  There is change in the HMT & MT lessons schedule.  Please note that you will end lesson late on Wednesdays.  As such, you are strongly encouraged to have a filling meal during recess on Wednesdays.  Please be informed that you can purchase food from SST Cafe after school.

Class Decoration - by 29th January

Dear S104,

The SST Class Decoration Competition is up.  Let's do it well!

Here are the pointers when we are doing the decoration.  Nadia & Sandra will help to form groups to be in-charge of different areas.  We will meet to discuss in details on Wednesday, 21st January 2015.

Badge Night Committee (Interaction Time)

Dear S104,

Here is the brief summary of what we discussed in class during CCE period.  Team leaders, please start discussing on the job scope.  Do venture on other possible areas that may make the event more meaningful for our guests.

A.  Welcome Team - pick-up parents, ushering duty, taking photos and videos, thank you cards?

C.  Presentation Team - prepare presentation for 5-10 minutes to showcase learning points, reflections, strongly encouraged to showcase Reflection Journal, for large audience or small group of parents

D.  Logistics Team - arrangement of furniture to ensure smooth running of event, classroom deco

S104 - Badge Night Preparation (For Class Interaction Section)

Dear S104,

In view of the upcoming Badge Night, I seek your cooperation to plan for the segment in class.  We will be hosting your parents in our class S104 before the Badge Night ceremony.  As such, we would definitely want our parents to enjoy the 40 minutes session with us.

I would greatly appreciate if everyone can attend our class meeting on these two days.  The meetings are meant for us to discuss and prepare the necessary prior to our big day.

General Announcement (8th January 2015)

Dear S104,

Here are the details to keep you updated.  Do act upon it if you need to.

1.  Homework updates (daily basis)
- It would be great to have the homework updates in the Class Blog on a daily basis.  As what was conveyed on 2nd January, this will serve as a platform for everyone to help one another.  As Form Teachers, Mdm Azizah & Mrs Jang would like to monitor the demand of the work that you have to do and help you cope.
-  Any member of the class is welcome to update the Homework section in the Blog.
-  To make it easier & clearer, you may want to use this format.

4.  Report Book
- Please hand in your Report Book as soon as possible.  You may pass it to Mdm Azizah personally during morning assembly.
- You will be given Personal Pupil Data tomorrow (9th January) for checking purposes (no signature needed).  Nadia and Sandra will be assisting Mdm Azizah on this.  You may do correction in red if there is any errors.  Once it is confirmed, Nadia and Sandra will collate and pass them to Mdm Azizah.  This is to be done before Advisory Lesson at 11.45 p.m.

5.  Badge Night
-  Invitation has been given to your parents regarding this event.  Please help to check if they have made the reservations online.
-  On this day, there will be interaction time in class before the main event in the MPH.  As such, I need volunteers to work with me (Mdm Azizah).  Do approach me personally.  We need to discuss about it on Monday, 12th January 2015.
-  Please be present during the rehearsals (refer to the Student Blog for details).

Dear S104,

Do spend some time to read the roles and responsibilities of SST Class Committees.  If you would like to take up the challenge, do volunteer for the role.  Given such opportunity, we are sure that you will be able to maximise your potential.

Besides Subject Representatives who will be advised by respective subject teachers, we will discuss about Class Executive Committee in due course.  If you would like to take up role as temporary Class Chairperson or Vice Chairperson, do approach Mdm Azizah or Mrs Jang personally.

Class Chairperson
a.   To provide leadership to the Class Exco members,  heads of each sub-committee and classmates in promoting school spirit and culture within the class. 
b.   To work closely with the Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher to ensure smooth running of class activities and inform any problems or challenges within the class.
c.   To facilitate class meetings together with Vice-Chairperson, with guidance from Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher. When need arises, to conduct class executive committee meetings with Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher.
d.   To maintain discipline in the class especially during assemblies, in between lessons and   when moving from class to class.
e.   To embrace the SST’s school values and be a role model for classmates.

Vice-Chairperson
a.   To assist the Class Chairperson in his/her roles and responsibilities listed above
b.   To cover the duties of the Class Chairperson in his/her absence.
c.   To ensure the sub-committees carry out their duties responsibly.

Secretary
a.   To assist the Form Teacher to take attendance on a daily basis during morning assembly, Friday assemblies, fire drills and any other occasions which requires the class attendance to be accounted.    
b.   To monitor movement of classmates and ensure that no one leaves the class without the permission of the Form/Subject Teacher.
b.   To write date and the names of absentees on the top right-hand corner of the whiteboard before the first period daily. To update this list of absentees during the course of the day if there are any changes.
b.   To assist the Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher and Class Chairperson in any
      administrative matters.
c.   To record minutes of class executive committee and class meetings and forward to Form
Teacher and Head of Year.
d.   To update homework and any class events on the class homework board (found at the back of classroom) and class blog.

Treasurer
a.   To collect money and keep a proper account of all collections and expenditure. [Note: Collect money only when needed. All money collected must be passed to Accounts Department or Form Teacher for safekeeping within the same day.]

b.   To report any misuse or abuse of IT-related incidents.
c.   To conduct programmes related to cyber wellness.
d.   To be involved in the Cyber Wellness Student Ambassador national programme. (CWSAP)
    (as the student will be representing SST, he/she should not any disciplinary issues especially related to cyber problems)

National Education Committee - NE representatives (x4 to 6)
a.   To be the class contact persons in activities related to National Education within the class, school and community.
b.   To assist NE Committee in organising NE-related events such as Total Defence Day, National day Celebrations, Racial Harmony Day etc,...


Sports & Wellness Committee - Sports & Wellness representatives (x4 to 6)
a.   To be the class contact persons in activities related to Sports and Wellness
b.   To organise school-wide events related to the Sports and Wellness Department

Environment Committee - Environment representatives (x4 to 6)
a.   To ensure that the class environment (in and outside) is clean and conducive for learning.

Alternative way to download the reflection journal

Dear classmates,
Perhaps you could try using this method to download the reflection journal:

At the right side of the class blog, there are some quick links, click on 'GoogleSite for Students', as shown in the picture below.
"GoogleSite for Students" is the 4th link from the top.

You will be prompted to log into your SST email account (You would be logged in automatically if you did not sign out of your SST email account previously after using it).  After logging in, you should see this page.



Scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see this.
Click on the attachment to download the reflection journal.


You can find the announcement about the Orientation reflection journal at the bottom of the page.

Just click on the attachment and it would start downloading into your computer.
