Badge Night Committee (Interaction Time)

Dear S104,

Here is the brief summary of what we discussed in class during CCE period.  Team leaders, please start discussing on the job scope.  Do venture on other possible areas that may make the event more meaningful for our guests.

A.  Welcome Team - pick-up parents, ushering duty, taking photos and videos, thank you cards?

B.  Refreshment Team - serve food and beverages for guests, take charge of cleanliness in and outside classroom

C.  Presentation Team - prepare presentation for 5-10 minutes to showcase learning points, reflections, strongly encouraged to showcase Reflection Journal, for large audience or small group of parents

D.  Logistics Team - arrangement of furniture to ensure smooth running of event, classroom deco


Here is the timeline.  Hope everyone will rise up to the occasion.  I believe S104 students will do great.  All the best to all of us for the big day!

S104 - Badge Night Preparation (For Class Interaction Section)

Dear S104,

In view of the upcoming Badge Night, I seek your cooperation to plan for the segment in class.  We will be hosting your parents in our class S104 before the Badge Night ceremony.  As such, we would definitely want our parents to enjoy the 40 minutes session with us.

I would greatly appreciate if everyone can attend our class meeting on these two days.  The meetings are meant for us to discuss and prepare the necessary prior to our big day.

1.  Homework updates (daily basis)
- It would be great to have the homework updates in the Class Blog on a daily basis.  As what was conveyed on 2nd January, this will serve as a platform for everyone to help one another.  As Form Teachers, Mdm Azizah & Mrs Jang would like to monitor the demand of the work that you have to do and help you cope.

5.  Badge Night
-  Invitation has been given to your parents regarding this event.  Please help to check if they have made the reservations online.
-  On this day, there will be interaction time in class before the main event in the MPH.  As such, I need volunteers to work with me (Mdm Azizah).  Do approach me personally.  We need to discuss about it on Monday, 12th January 2015.

Dear S104,

Do spend some time to read the roles and responsibilities of SST Class Committees.  If you would like to take up the challenge, do volunteer for the role.  Given such opportunity, we are sure that you will be able to maximise your potential.

c.   To facilitate class meetings together with Vice-Chairperson, with guidance from Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher. When need arises, to conduct class executive committee meetings with Form Teacher and co-Form Teacher.
d.   To maintain discipline in the class especially during assemblies, in between lessons and   when moving from class to class.
e.   To embrace the SST’s school values and be a role model for classmates.

a.   To assist the Class Chairperson in his/her roles and responsibilities listed above
b.   To cover the duties of the Class Chairperson in his/her absence.
c.   To ensure the sub-committees carry out their duties responsibly.

a.   To assist the Form Teacher to take attendance on a daily basis during morning assembly, Friday assemblies, fire drills and any other occasions which requires the class attendance to be accounted.    
b.   To monitor movement of classmates and ensure that no one leaves the class without the permission of the Form/Subject Teacher.
b.   To write date and the names of absentees on the top right-hand corner of the whiteboard before the first period daily. To update this list of absentees during the course of the day if there are any changes.

Alternative way to download the reflection journal

Dear classmates,
Perhaps you could try using this method to download the reflection journal:

At the right side of the class blog, there are some quick links, click on 'GoogleSite for Students', as shown in the picture below.
"GoogleSite for Students" is the 4th link from the top.

You will be prompted to log into your SST email account (You would be logged in automatically if you did not sign out of your SST email account previously after using it).  After logging in, you should see this page.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you should see this.
Click on the attachment to download the reflection journal.

You can find the announcement about the Orientation reflection journal at the bottom of the page.

Just click on the attachment and it would start downloading into your computer.
